What a year! In June '23 I started Bad Song Club, then a grad school program, then wrote 50 songs in 90 days for the first time ever, then did a 10x FAWM (sorry everyone), then jumped through all the stupid grad school hoops and got my masters degree, then landed a sweet job as an elementary music teacher for 2024-25.

Currently my fascination is music as a language, but I swear I'm not going back for a PhD.

Instrumentation/gear:
Usually I’m stacked with instruments (guitars, ukuleles, mandolin, piano, accordion, etc) but this summer I’m traveling, moving AND renovating, so I’m keeping it simple: me, a tenor ukulele, and midi.

Carley, haven't heard from your Dad in a few weeks. I know he was really busy. Should I move him off the A Capella 4 Track challenge? just re-read your bio, congrats on the elementary music gig! I'm going into my 3rd year teaching elementary music. But further, I'm starting grad school this summer, and my focus is shaping up to being songwriting in the classroom. Looking forward to jamming to your 50/90!
