OMG I have to tell you, our "Headlights" song has been in my head for 2 days straight LOL. I might have to put that on an album eventually. 😛 I was just singing it in the hotel pool area but I can't do the second verse because there's a child in here and everything hahahahaha. My mom wanted an Oscar movie marathon + hotel stay for her 70th birthday so that's where I am right now. Once we get home this evening I'll be able to get back to work on writing songs and tomorrow I should have a demo for you for our random collab. 😁

Thanks for the offer of a lyric! I'm not sure if our fully saw this, but as I noted in my forum post, my pop-punk album is narrative (about competitive eating) and fully plotted, so it would probably be hard for someone else to come in to that thicket. However, the planned songs kind of jump right in on the action. If you have any interest in writing a set of pop punk lyrics as a kind of introduction / overture, focusing generally on how it's a beautiful day at the County Fair and its widely renowned Hot Dog Eating Contest, with maybe some slice-of-life observations about other events at the fair or "opening act" eating events for kids or old people, I'd be happy to (try to) work that in!

Or, obviously, if that's not your interest (few people share my obsessions), feel absolutely free to pass, and I definitely won't take any offense at all. I'm just always happy to work with someone on the rare occasion they do share any interest in my peculiar subject matters!

Oh yeah, if you want to lay down some bass or guitar on either or both of our songs, I can record along with a metronome and do separate tracks and stuff. And thanks for all your comments by the way! I'm having fun writing. I'll be doing the 100 Days of Ukulele challenge right after FAWM is over and I wanna do all originals like last year (I haven't put up any collaborations for that - I wouldn't put out something I could wrote unless the agreements were in place). So, gotta make sure I have enough to play! 😜

Ha! We have been paired for a random collaboration! This is in addition to the one I'm still working on (I will get that done Tuesday-ish, btw - wanting to put in the choir sounds just makes me have to do a more arduous type of recording LOL). So, if you have lyrics that you're working on that you might want to send me, maybe don't post them yet so we can post them together and I'll do just a quick acoustic demo and we'll get it right up!

thanks for the words on "Rain or Shine"!! the periscope lyric is probably my favorite couplet in that whole thing, I think it's fairly likely I use that song for parts in the future during the off-season but I wanna keep that line around. it's a good'un. glad you dug the reverb too :-)
