It took me til the second chorus to realize what Crowning meant in the context. Ouch, ouch, and ouch. It’s a sweet lyric of deep love and shallow annoyance asking the rhetorical question would you go through giving birth if you knew the baby would eventually be a teenager. Well, yeah, but still.
