And I can't figure out how you get your tone either! Mine is literally just a Rode condenser and a 57 right next to each other about six inches away... bit of EQ here, some tape and console emulations there... annoying thing is I can never move those microphones again!

I think I found it - 0.39s of 'Meatplow'. Not exact, but the same vibe. Maybe it's something else... Love your stuff, don't worry about it. I used half a chord progression from 'Paranoid Android' this FAWM already
Could be Filter... though that chord is very much more in the STP realm than the basic riffage Filter usually use. Maybe it's just one of those things us guys of a certain age borrow 😂

Thanks for your comment on my folk draft. I just wanted to try what happens, when I tune my guitar in an alternate tuning. Which chords are simple? Which are hard? What is the vibe I get from the main harmony?
I see no future in this project, because I just don't identify with the genre. I have no idea how to write lyrics, a toplining melody, not even a riff. Maybe it's also because I don't listen to this kind of music. I'm also not happy with the chord progression. D and G is a bit too basic, you know?

Re: the bass pulse on "Radioactive"; yeah, I was heavily influenced by Roger Waters on "One Of These Days..." long before I even thought of playing the bass.

Yo, great to see you back! I just dumped what I wrote over the weekend, and went back to add liner notes, what I could recall anyway. Probably won't be batching like that anymore, but that was nice starting the month with a full empty weekend.

those drums were recorded in the laziest way possible. I just extended my desk mic (sm7dB) up a bit higher and used it like a room mic 🤷♀️😂🙃 there are no rules in fawm.
