ok so this is definitely a devo rip off. not sure if i would release this song, but it was fun to make.

i think i might have gotten the title from Bob's Burgers. i feel like i saw a movie poster in the background of some episode that said robot cannibal(s?). if you know the episode let me know if that's true!

this was not performed as a one man band. lots of overdubs.

i spent so much time on it, that i wasn't up to making the video this song would deserve. so no video, sorry.

also, no drum loops. i'm doing all those drum parts by hand on a midi keyboard (to a click). there's like 6 drum and percussion tracks. some of them might fluctuate a bit but i like that.

i kind of want something different to happen after the second chorus, but i didn’t write a bridge for this so i don’t know. if you have an idea for what should happen there (or if you think it doesn’t need anything there?) let me know. it just starts feeling pretty repetitive by that point. but hey, it’s a demo!

this version has a new bridge that i just wrote and recorded on feb 6 (two days later). i think it works?

i think this counts for the palindrome challenge too! i say "robot cannibal robot" and "cannibal robot cannibal" in the lyrics, and those are word palindromes. so i'm counting it.

Really like the retro vibes in here and the call back sing along chorus makes me think of an army of robots singing along!

Very Funny song! Well produced and arranged. Voice is also good. The lyrics also. Maybe could extended the lyrics a kit? Bit on the other hand, this could be it for a song like this.
The handmade drum tracks sound indeed very nice and natural.
For the variation you were seeking for, Maybe you could do a break with only rythm, and than a bit of guitar for instance.
It is a playfull, uplifting song. But it also has something protest like in it, against animal suffering.

But I _like_ the Devo feel. This sounds as if we're into the mind of Zuckerberg. Or should that be Zuckerburger? As I do multi- one shot takes overlaid almost all the time, I have no issue at all with the drumming. I _like_ hearing musicofhumans. Enjoyed this.

Haha yeah, I can hear Devo now that you've said it, but I wouldn't have picked up on it otherwise.
I prefer "live" drums, mistakes and all; it really adds the human element.
Love those wacky guitar solos.
Not sure if you need anything else in there; I think the repetition works just fine.
Yeah, this is definitely a winner.

Your genre stuff is so much fun. This track is a blast. Love the subtle little panned-out backing vocals, the stomping beat, and the DEVO esque talk-singing. It’s a little different than the other stuff I’ve heard from you and your band but it is 100% you!

Magnificent work. Totally justifies the extra production layers you’ve lavished on it, and the video can come later. Love the delivery on ‘it doesn’t eat any animals’. Playing it on my phone while my kids eat breakfast - can confirm it sounds great on phone speakers and kids (well, mine at least) love the song. Just a suggestion, but maybe a spoken section before the last chorus, just to give it that sense of having a bridge? Awesome track!

It’s definitely in genes room not sure when…this is dope as hell. Really nailed the Devo vibe but it’s ALL kapfer! Too many things in this made me smile and nod to point out, but the drums were perfect and the guitars are so good, there’s some lead work that reminds me of my favorite animated show/theme song space ghost coast to coast, for me that’s the #1 animated show of all time.

I would LOVE to hear this song in a club so I could dance my head off to it. The different vocal parts are spot-on, and the whole thing is incredibly fun. Yes, it has a DEVO sound, but that's not a bad thing in any way. Nicely done!
