Thanks for your comments. To answer your question, octolute is word I made up because it sounds cooler than "8-string baritone ukulele tuned differently than normal."

That's what appeals to me about them; the mysterious bleeps and bloops. As well as the old-timey telephone switchboard look. I wouldn't be reading the manual, I'd just jump right in!

Thanks for your comments on February's song (morph). I used @scubed's guitar part as well as the vocal snippets. I am surprised how much of my lyric concept has persisted through the morphs.

Sorry, I think I wasn't clear. I didn't mean the volume of the samples, the mix is great. I meant different sections of the song, where some sections the samples took center stage, and other times the synths were the focus. Of course it's your song! Do what you like :)

Oh yeah I know Soma! I saw the Flux a few months back and wanted to buy it for my FAWM partner! He's been dealing with hand issues for awhile now and it's made it impossible to play bass drums and guitar, but he manages to still work with synths. So I thought that thermin/synth combo tool would be right up his alley 🎵🎶

Cool. If I had to pick a favorite it would be this Ford sales training video starring Hugh Beaumont, who later played the dad in the US TV show Leave It To Beaver

I don't know if that made it to the Great White North, but some of the sales tactics probably did.

Hi! So sorry to hear about your Mum, I am sure you will be going through a whole range of things right now and I hope your and yours give yourselves the space and care you need.

One day to go and I am still stuck for a theme (I normally have all this planned in December) - initially I was looking to do something inspired by the minimalism and vocal style of the Young Marble Giants from 1978... but I use way too much drum and percussion to carry that off! I will see this year as a purging I think, try to clear a year of blockage... maybe my theme should be laxatives... hmm

Really like your idea for the sales training commercials. Lately I've been digging through pressings of educational/instructional tutorials and stand-up comedy sets from the 60s and 70s.
