Del (@trebled) writes: Yes, I’m an old romantic and, although I’ve not done much this 50/90, when I read Andrea’s beautiful lyrics I had no choice but to ask her if we could work together again. This was a collaboration in the truest sense - although I wrote and performed the music, Andrea (@andrea) gave lots of valuable feedback all the way through! Thank you, Andrea! :-)
Andrea ( @andrea ) says: I was so happy when Del asked to collaborate on my lyrics. I knew he would make something beautiful happen, and he did! He is very good at romantic songs. Thank you, Del :)
Lyrics
Baby, I know your favorite things
Like strawberries and burgundy wine
Yellow daisies in summertime
The view of Atlanta’s skyline
Oo, oo, oo
I want to give them all to you
Every day of my life
Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
All my love for you
Every day of my life
Will you be my wife
Honey, I share your future dreams
A little place outside the city
With a front porch and tire swing
Where we can start a family
Oo, oo, oo
I want to give them all to you
Every day of my life
Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
All my love for you
Every day of my life
Will you be my wife
Darling, I know what’s in your heart
And I believe that it beats for me
Hopes that we will be together
Forever and eternity
Oo, oo, oo
I want to give them all to you
Every day of my life
Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
All my love for you
Every day of my life
If you’ll only say ‘I do’

Makes me wonder if he’s yearning after someone who is uncommitted or is unsure About their relationship, really engages the listener ….
The chorus sounds like it’s heading into 60s type of pop sound… Very interesting combination I like it. Great Collab!
