Liner Notes

Today I got three different letters from my student loan servicer about my repayment plan. All three had different amounts and different dates to pay back. They were in forbearance a week ago. Then they weren't. Now they are again. And if I call I am 99% sure I am not going to get to speak to a real person.

Anyway, here's a song I wrote.

This is such a fantastic 80s dance song! That has such a wonderfully contagious hook I love the great insights about a relationship that were inspired by letters about student loans. Awesome song!!!!!

First of all, always great to hear what you're up to - always catchy and unique! I listen to a lot of pop/dance "bangers" (is that what the kids still call them?) when I work out, and this awesomeness of yours would fit right into that playlist. Amazing vocals - sweet yet assertive. And cool headphone sounds, too. Love it!

Ohhhh man, I feel this so hard. What a great way to vent such a frustrating problem! Melody is super catchy, and I love how dark the synth melody is. The way the vocals start interlacing in the choruses is SO cool!

i love it when the resultant song bears no relation to its inspiration. one of the reasons i dislike writing liner notes is that, when i do, the comments are generally a response to the liner notes, not the song. so ill just say that i love the chorus. the title is one of those phrases that should have been used a hundred times, yet is original to your song. that in itself is an achievement. and the verses are justifiable extensions of the chorus.
