50/90 2024 update: I'm likely to have a new job at summer point during 50/90, but when that happens will affect how much time I have for writing. I guess I should write as much as I can before I have to re-enter the world of full time employment.
I'm Helen. I make #noisy #punk as well as some more #folky stuff. I am also starting my journey getting into sync licensing, for which I almost exclusively do #instrumental stuff, and love doing weird #sounddesign. If tracks get signed to a library, I'll lock them down as I sign over the copyright.
I don't need people to thank me for song comments or even reciprocate. I go with a pay-it-forward kind of thing.
I do love to collaborate. That said, over the past few years, I've found myself getting overwhelmed as FAWM/5090 goes on, so am trying to be a bit more careful what I agree to do, in order to avoid letting people down. That said, if you want to collaborate, please do ask, but please don't be offended if I decline. I'm more likely to say yes at the beginning of the month.
For avoidance of doubt, please do not add lyrics to my instrumentals unless I specify otherwise. I'm not keen on surprise collaborations.
I'm in 2 all-fawmer bands with @expendablefriend, @stewartscissor and @orinoco, and then in a 3rd band with someone who isn't a FAWMer yet, but I'm working on it.

Oh Helen, that was a lovely comment. I will show it to my friends of my 90s indie band - we reconnected some time ago and plan to record the old songs :-)
Thank you for your kind comments on my take on "It's Hard to Start a Fire in the Rain"! (Did you see that there's about 30 other takes on @stephenwordsmith's lyrics? It's quite incredible, really.) Much appreciated!
Glad you liked my "The Controller". I read the book a long time ago, but it has stuck with me for five decades.
You know your comment on my collab with Nancy is almost the exact same thing I told Nancy when I heard it. 😀
Helen thanks so much for your comments on People Fall Down. I really appreciate you sharing what you specifically liked about the song - it is so helpful. Thanks again!
Thanks so much for your comment on "Puddles of Cat" — I love it when a song wants to go jazzy.
I've updated my profile, so I guess that means something.

Howdy Helen,
Good to see you back here.
Let's do this. Have yourself a great 5090.
