Whew, that is some unsavoury sounding guitar. I'm a little late to the party. Writing songs about trying to write songs is what I do half the time.

Lyrics

I want to bite the hand
That holds this microphone stand
I want to smash the feet
That hold the legs
That hold the torso
That holds these arms and hands
Begone desire
Begone this ceaseless gyre
Begone this song, I’m tired
Begone demands
Begone these fretful hands
Begone this microphone stand

I love the brevity

Love the feeling in it. The melody on "begone" tell about deseperate hope.
Now I read the comments and it seems I misunderstood the theme. Not the song's fault at all. I'm just not that good with english.
Maybe it is because I don't own a mic stand, maybe because I'm reading too much romcom these days... I thought it was actually about working with someone you love so much that you get to gthe point where you feel anger at them.
I give to the "anatomic" part of the song a brand new meaning, as you focus on every part of their body...
The song is still great about the microphone.

This is really sharp writing for a sub-one-minute skirmish song - it feels really complete. Also I enjoyed the use of the word "gyre".

Is there a soul out there that doesn't get frustrated with the wobbly, heavy, too-loose-while-still-too-tight-but-still-drooping collection of plastic and tube steel that is the budget mic stand? Thank you for speaking up for the masses.

Also, I'm with @robinleaf , that procession through the humanized bits and pieces is absolutely golden.

Really clever lyrics, as always, and they accurately capture the frustrations of making music. I like how you go from the music making to life in general, although I had to look up "gyre." Great word! Had never heard it before.

Made me smile! Go wireless bro! Unless you have a very tasty microphone stand! Don’t be penned in!

Oh no, unsavoury is not the right word. Works well through the self loathing in the lyrics. Short and sweet but if the mic stand aint up to it, well, best walk away. 😎

If that’s a scene of creative frustration, then I think I know the feeling.

What a great lyrical poem. Almost a haiku! I totally get that frustration. Irritated and resigned. Cool.

An interesting take, and maybe a reason to switch to wireless. Love and hate are two sides of a coin, and passion for music has to be balanced by the occasional "begone", especially at the end of the day.

What a wonderfully poetic and personal feel - the Begone lines have a sense of exhaustion intimacy and honesty that builds an emotional connection with the listener. Your delivery is fabulous. Love the sound.

classical poetry for a decidedly non-classical worls

I'm not hearing the problem with the guitar; all I hear is another delight, with darkness lurking wonderfully beneath the gentle pop perfection!

"I want to bite the hand
"That holds this microphone stand
"I want to smash the foot
"That holds the legs
"That hold the torso
"That holds these arms and hands"

That is freaking brilliant. Always such a love-hate relationship! I really enjoyed this little piece. Thank you for joining!
