There's this feeling that the progression keeps descending through the whole song. Maybe the seal is diving under the ice as well as clapping.

this is so fun. the lyrics are silly but with a deeper kind of darkness about them, which i always love. the chord changes are great! i listened to this a few times in a row. i wanted more!
