Thank you @glsade for letting me use your lyric (and change a little, too.)

Lyrics

I spend time wishing you were here to see me at my worst
I hear the bells and feel the end but maybe I’m still cursed
Some days I feel like a king, some days a rotten pest
How nice it’d be if you could see me when I’m at my best,

I forget where I am from since you left me all alone
I guess I’ll keep on searching for a place to call my home
I would not trade tomorrow for all my yesterdays,
I’d like to think the best will come but I think I’ve lost my way

So I’ll roll, roll, roll on down the road,
Even when I’m far from home and don’t know where to go,
I’ll roll, roll, roll on down the road,
Can’t say I won’t look back when I get scared on my own,
I’ll still roll, roll, roll on down the road

There’s no way anyone can say, just what it’s all about,
I try not to think about it much, try not to scream or shout
Day by day, I make my way, through the ebbs and flow,
And some days it’s all I can do to get back on the road

So I’ll roll, roll, roll on down the road,
Even when I’m far from home and don’t know where to go,
I’ll roll, roll, roll on down the road,
Can’t say I won’t look back when I get scared on my own,
I’ll still roll, roll, roll on down the road

Somewhere down in Mississippi I lost track of my girl
Some day maybe I will find her in this big ol’ world

And I’ll roll, roll, roll on down the road,
Even when I’m far from home and don’t know where to go,
I’ll roll, roll, roll on down the road,
Can’t say I won’t look back when I get scared on my own,
I’ll still roll, roll, roll on down the road

Really, really nice set of lyrics--terrific guitar/vocal over them. Inspired collaboration, you two! ❤️

A real life lyric! What a good thought! If we could only be seen at our best! I love the change on roll roll………. Very effective.

Like the opening line, can really connect with that. Also like the twist on "*not* trade tomorrow for all my yesterday's", which is the opposite of what you would normally hear. The repetition of the roll roll roll in the chorus is apt to what you would expect from someone rolling. Also like the mention of Mississippi, I don't know why, just like when songs throw in a geographic reference as it always seems home in a country tune.

Very nicely done. Takes what feels at heart like a traditional blues sentiment and gives it an upbeat, pop spin that turns the idea of a life on the road from a curse into a never-ending adventure...

A very well written lyric, presented here by TC in such a way that the tune lingers longs after he stops singing and playing. Good ones will do that! Nice collab!
