Liner Notes

Writing for #woodwindquintet is one of my first loves as a composer. It makes me so happy to share this, and I hope you feel that.

Winds sound good in any combination, but there is truly something magical about the combination of flute, oboe, clarinet, F horn, and bassoon. Any 2 or 3 of the 5, in unison, in octaves, in chords, and in counterpoint, ever able to change yet again, this ensemble is like a kaleidoscope.

Magical, peaceful sounds and a wonderful musicianship. So lovely to listen to real instruments and the feel of happiness. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. One of the challenges on FAWM was "short and sweet" for compositions under 2 minutes. Yours could be tagged :)

Totally agree with your liner notes: that ensemble has a magical sound to it! This is lovely, and has a distinctly Celtic lilt to it. Sunny, and also celebratory and joyous.
