Pockets Full Of Matches

Liner Notes
I read these lyrics by @yewnorker and they seemed to capture the moment so well - quite visceral, and timely - I had to ask about adding the 3 chords to the truth. (and, yes, I, in fact, kept it to 3 chords...)
It is, admittedly a bit frayed around the edges - I just felt it needed the early morning, unwashed, half a cup of coffee, #acousticonetake to try to capture the rawness I heard in my head. (although...sometimes "rawness" could use a click track.. 🤔 )
Lyrics
pockets full of matches
I think it's getting hot here
Time maybe we should go
They're boarding up the exits
This place is gonna blow
They're pouring out the koolaid
They're jammin all the drones
A rumble in the jungle
It's Koresh against Jim Jones
If we were in a movie
We'd be at the closing scene
Pockets full of matches
And the stink of gasoline
Pockets full of matches
And the stink of gasoline
So which guy is the devil
Who will end our way of life
The hate is just so palpable
Could cut it with a knife
Theyre handing out the AKs
They say our side's is right
The civil war's upon us
And their side wants a fight
If we were in a movie
We'd be at the closing scene
Pockets full of matches
And the stink of gasoline
Pockets full of matches
And the stink of gasoline
Pockets full of matches
And the stink of gasoline

Ultra-cool sounding vocals breath further depth into this already attention-grabbing lyric by further stirring it to 3-D life with full-on (as-though-lived-it) vocals of genuineness. Fab collab!
