I Don't Like To Say So

Liner Notes
Collaboration with @nancycunning She posted these lyrics and I thought some blues would work with it. I had to remove the opening line to the chorus and add some additional lyrics to get it to fit the 12 bar pattern (sorry Nancy, please forgive me). Added lyrics are * below.
I'm pretty sure this is not what she was going for when she wrote the lyrics but some of lines were just speaking to me.
Original song can be found here : https://fiftyninety.fawm.org/songs/299112
Thanks for the lyrics Nancy. Hope you enjoy the listen.

Lyrics
I Don't Like to Say So
I don't like to say so, like I been saying all along
I don't like to say so, so I'll put it in a song
Hey, I don't like to say so, Honey, but I think I might'a got it wrong
I jump to conclusions
I jump to tear you down
I get so defensive
I jump to stand my ground
*hovering in the air right now oooo i think i might wanna come down
I don't like to say so, like I been saying all along
I don't like to say so, so I'll put it in a song
Hey, I don't like to say so, Honey, but I think I might'a got it wrong
I act like my mother
But you are not my dad
* and when we act like children things are gonna get real loud
Sometimes you disagree with me
But that don't mean you're bad
I don't like to say so, like I been saying all along
I don't like to say so, so I'll put it in a song
Hey, I don't like to say so, Honey, but I think I might'a got it wrong
know you don't mean to hurt me
You don't mean to make me pay
And I'd love to learn to listen
Instead of shouting you down this way
* just know that if it's hurting you that it's gonna be hurting me too
I don't like to say so, like I been saying all along
I don't like to say so, so I'll put it in a song
Hey, I don't like to say so, Honey, but I think I might'a got it wrong
