Liner Notes

I was taken by Garry's instrumental and found myself singing some lyrics. I contacted Garry and he gave me the go ahead to record them. So here is our collaboration.
Garry here: I always love @berni1954 stuff. He is just a solid performer and great story teller. It's amazing how he got such a great melody and flowing lyrics over my semi-improv track...stellar work!. .LOVE IT! Thx again.

Lyrics

On such a quiet night
All of the stars are bright
The moon is riding higher in the sky
Mountains have shut me in
I feel the earth within
Something inside me wants to cry

Is there anything in the air
Patterns I'm seeing there
Or is it fantasies
In the recesses of my mind?

Crawling, calling, caterwauling,
Drawn towards the vortex falling
Driven deep within to find
What is on the outside

Raving, craving, sanity saving
I can't stop this misbehaving
Have some stars aligned?

Nowhere left to hide
Go with the tide
Bury my pride
Bury my Bride

Beautiful song and collaboration. Both instrumentals, lyrics and vocals come together really nicely. Very creative work.

I can see why you were drawn to this track. The guitar has a cool vibe. It starts with a subtle draw and then takes form. I had a completely different vision from the lyrics before I read the end. Cool twist. Nice collab!

Awesome guitar work on Garry's track - I especially like the harmonics. The melody weaves beautifully around the guitar and the two sound like they were created together. Wonderfully expressive vocals match the intensity level of the guitar perfectly. What a cool collab!

I too was taken with that guitar. There's something about the quiet intro that had me leaning in...waiting. It's definitely a powerful vocal and a mysterious lyric, one that is entirely reshaped by that last line. Masterful stuff

Ooh, I was captivated as soon as I heard those opening harmonics. And love those chords and that crystalline guitar sound, and how it steadily builds with greater and greater urgency @gm7 . And some really great lyrics and topline melody from @berni1954! That lyrical twist at the end -- off! Brilliant! The whole thing is giving me a bit of a Love/Forever Changes feel! Very cool collab, y'all!
