Liner Notes

Liz had titled this Rising Up the Sturgeon Moon, but, as it was being sung, Sturgeon Moon was the most repeated phrase. That's why this has a slightly different title.

Liz writes some very singable lyrics and I like to pick up a few each season to add music to. This is another of Liz's creations that falls into song very easily.

Liz says: Paul did such a lovely job creating the calm, uplifting, inspiring feel of the rising full moon! Thanks, Paul, for your gorgeous music!

Have to admit I had to look up "Sturgeon Moon meaning". Thank you, GOOGLE. You can't go wrong writing about the moon--we've been fascinated by it since, um, before we can write lyrics! Great collaboration once again, you two! ❤️

and what a sturgeon moon it was. it was the first moon i saw in the clear skies of florida after 12 smoggy years in peru. liz captures all the mythical elements of the sturgeon moon without getting heavy or obscure about it, and paul sings it in a romantic style reminiscent of poet rod mckuen,
