Casio's Song

Liner Notes
This is my take on the #casiocore challenge. I recorded a few loops of the #casiovl1 into the #5moons, applied effects using the Korg #nts1, and pitched/reversed loops into a 4-track #cassette recorder.

What an atmospheric piece of music! I sat back in my chair, headphones on, eyes closed, and let it wash over me. Felt like traveling through space. I like when the melodies get conversational, too.
Nice work on the #casiocore challenge. I like how you used the other instruments to make this recording. Lots of engineering.
Ambient music for dolphins! Or music with Casio space dolphins. Either way, it's a win! I wonder what they are saying?
Love how it's all wobbly in the beginning, then spirals out of control into a cacophony! It's like a casio time-loop!
If I focus I can sense it's Casio ... but now all grown up and moody, no longer the twee beeper with a penchant for bossa nova.
The reversed loops triggered an unexpected nostalgia for me (hello, Depeche Mode b-sides from yesteryear). Wonderful stuff.

Very ethereal and spacious sound. You stayed away from the type of song we might associate with CasioTones. Enjoyable listen.
I'm loving the casiocore challenge -- you had some great ideas here. I like how open and spacious and large everything feels. Nice echo in the "room." After 3 minutes there are more trickles down of synth. I don't know if something is being built or if it's like large raindrops falling from overhanging leaves, but it's evocative.
Aaahhhh, this is nice. Feels like a nature scene... walking through towering trees, shafts of sunlight sparkling through, little 8bit birdies chirping. Surprisingly organic for casiocore.
Dreamy sounds, full of thinking things over in a place of peace, uplifting track!
This sent me off to find some decent headphones. I'm not sure what to say beyond expressing appreciation. I just kind of lost myself here, like wandering through a maze of little delights
i like the 3-D effect. The sounds are not simply layered. The tiers of sound seem to ascend into space. When the melody becomes prominent, it is like having a space guide as we continue floating upward.
you really did wonders on this challenge. So cool that you used 5 Moons on this as well.
I thought it was in portugese at first ha ha, i love it when you talk techy, whatever you have certainly made the most of casio, a vast soundscape gives it that real spacey feel
I didn't think the harsh, sharp tones of an 8 bit casio could do ambient and meditative. You showed me the error of this assumption.
