Voices From The Grave

Liner Notes

Demo of the 8th likely song to be included on my next album Open Sore, which I hope to have completed by September October.
your opinion welcome - WK album good enough?
It's a huge mix with 27 tracks and still needs MUCH more tweaking, which it will get if it makes it into the final album selection.

Getting to know your style. My kind of mix, with a soup of guitar, keys, voices, scintillating lyrics. Nice work.

Damn, I love that bass line. Your voice always sounds good over this slinky sexy style. This is damn good man. Loved it!

@yewnorker Thanks so much. I went to visit your page to reciprocate your kindness, but it says "private" ... I didn't even know that was possible, but sadly I couldn't see anything of yours there to check out or even a place on your profile to leave a thank you note. Let me know if that changes. again, thanks for the input and the extra kind words.

It might be my ears or my eqpt but the voice started out garbled, but after this kicked in it sounded absolutely great! Crystal clear. Nice texture ( if that's the right way to describe it) to this. I enjoyed it.

Second spin. What I noticed the first time (even better the second spin) was the bass that is like a bouncing ball at times while the tom fills are frantic adding to the insecurity of the protoganist. This is a typical Wolf style song as I know it (years and years and years). Yes indeed, great WK guitars!

Love this!! Great storytelling in the lyrics, and a driving accompaniment that really makes you listen closely all the way to the end.

Really well done track, the vocals and lyrics show a lot of feeling about the situation, great guitar tones in here as well.

I've listened to a couple of other songs this morning about funerals/ghosts and now came across this one. I'm wondering if it's skirmish/prompt related or if...that's just the general mood these days. Great song, in any event! ❤️

This grabbed me and I am spellbound! I have to catch up with you! Magically original!

the production is lavish yet brawny, paced like brainwaves seeking a solution. in the end, it seems that the voice he hears from the grave is his own voice. he fears he is insane but the truth is that he is dead. vocals have a no-nonsense authority and we are compeled to listen.

Really laid-back and cool, I love the sound of the guitar, what a groove! And I’m always in for some eerie lyrics with a twist. I’m excited for the final mix.

@sbs
Totally! The pace is hypnotic - the lyrics are madly brilliant! And you always know how to deliver the vocals. Super WK guitar!

I really like the lyrical pacing - it give it kind of a creepy feel with along with your vocal delivery. You get extra points for use "blasphemous" and "akimbo" in the same sentence! Great lyrics. Cool instrumental track - nice lead guitar and bass underneath.
