This may end up being something like #chaphop so I can just concentrate on playing with the rhythms.

Lyrics

Tell me what's the point of having a stack of 10 plates in the cupboard when you're only using the same 2 plates every day?
I think maybe I'm better off buying one instead of a dozen no matter what the "buy in bulk, it's cheaper" numbers say
And if my second plate has got a very different pattern, that's exciting, that's the spice of life, that's teaching yourself to get out of your own way
And if I ever have a guest I'm certain they won't have a problem with my plates, and if they do you better believe I won't ask them to stay
And I don't need a set of dishes set aside for that special occasion that I know for a fact may never come anyway
Because honey when you're eccentric there just isn't any way to hide it, you didn't choose it but by damn society will make you pay
So why pay for a bunch of boring dishes to take up space in your - probably a rental - house designed to accommodate no one because HGTV says that that's okay?
Get yourself two plates and one cupboard, and paint it just as wild as you can manage, and wedge it in a corner between your books and your, I don't know, home cabaret
Because you can guess who's most familiar with your lifestyle, and if your life lived says that you don't need it, then replace it with the things you love best and give it away, far away
Or if you, like me, just happen to be an artist, and you feel like you can make it into something better, take hold of that extra plate like a Frisbee and throw it out the window, far away
And then - congratulations! You don't have to shop at the art store, and you'll have more beautiful things once you've indulged in a little play
So take your extra dishes and smash the expectations that come with them, with them today!

Charming and engaging lyrics! The humor comes through, which I like.

Super rhythmic! Oh I can relate to this lyric in that my wife and I have dozens of plates for mostly just two of us. When she is gone for a day or more I revert to my bachelor days of using the same plate, fork, spoon, and knife from the drying rack.
