Liner Notes

Well this is a friggin blast.

Rosie: Vocals, Lyrics, Synth Solo
Sapient: Growls, ChugaChugs, Squeedlys, Meedlys
DJKA: EDM stuff, more drums, arrangement/mixing

Andy/DJKA: Man this was AWESOME. I initially did not expect us to make something this wild when we set out to do this collab. It was a joy to work with these two awesome musicians. Especially doing something a little outside of my normal genre.

Rosie: I think we created a beast! This was such a fun, easy, surprising collab, working with two incredible musicians, what a pleasure to be able to put forward an idea and hear it come to life so fast!

Sapient: I can't even... Look, there we were, last Thursday afternoon, having a wee blether about a collab. Two hours later I sent these two loveable loons three minutes of chugga-chugga. To get to THIS in such a short space of time is just un-ber-leeeev-able. What a process! What a song! What a team! 😀

Lyrics

There’s a crisis of consciousness in this town
There’s a reckless distortion of morals going around
No more lines to cross
And nothing to die from
If you let them off
This’ll be the very hill you hang on

Where were you?
When they lit the fire
Didn’t you carry wood?

Don’t you see me?
Aren’t you scared of
Who I am?
And what I can do?

You have fractured everything that I believe
You have poisoned the very oxygen that I breathe
No more right or wrong
No reason to hold on
If you let them off
This’ll be the very hill you hang on

You chose the road you wanted to walk on
Now go, don’t slow, it’s nearly the dawn

What was that? Who am I now? What did I just experience? Am I still in this dimension? That was more than a trip but a life changing experience. I'm a changed man.

Did... did you just invent a new genre? EDM space death? It's cool as hell. I absolutely love the vocal harmonies in the ending section. The "full band" section starting around 1:47 is so rockin'. The vocals are fantastic, powerful, versatile. The synths are delightfully heavy, and of course @sapient rocks, great solo. New fav band.

Amazing! Everything works so well together. I feels a bit silly to mention such a little detail from something like this, but I absolutely love the tiny pause at 1:57.

Now THIS is what I'm talkin' about. My goodness me, this takes no prisoners. That little set of descending chords at 0:49, the GUITARS, the blend of vocals, the gleeful way this rockets along—holy hell, this is impeccable, folks.
