You Betcha

Challenge: PUBLIC DOMAINLiner Notes
A little "Old McDonald", the alcoholic version, for this week's challenge. #week3 #publicdomain I didn't jump into many collabs this year and missed doing the harmony challenge, so I added five layers of vocals by the end to my #banjo for this - just "oh fer fun".
Lyrics
There’s a widow down the street
You betcha don’t ya know
She drinks her wine dry not sweet
You betcha don’t ya know
With a cabernet here
A shiraz there
Here a red there a white
Every glass poured right
There’s a widow down the street
You betcha don’t ya know
That old widow’s life’s been hard
You betcha don’t ya know
So she likes her liquor also hard
You betcha don’t ya know
With a whiskey here
A bourbon there
Here a gin there a scotch
Every glass is top notch
That old widow’s life’s been hard
You betcha don’t ya know
The widow’s loved so do not fear
You betcha don’t ya know
Because her fridge is full of beer
You betcha don’t ya know
With a porter here
A brown ale there
Here a stout, an IPA
Everything is A-OK
The widow’s loved so do not fear
You betcha don’t ya know
You betcha don’t ya know

We had a dropout on Song 9 of the A Capella 4 track. Post in there if you want to add a part! https://write.fawm.org/forums/2896

If you don't mind a suggestion, why not lose the double "hard" rhyme as follows:
"That old widow’s life’s been hard
So she drinks her liquor from a jar"
I just had to listen to it twice! Loved it even more a second time. This would go down a storm at a folk club!
Is it OK if I sing it in my pub gigs? - What's your real name so I can give you the credit for the lyrics.
PS I would also add "red" to this line to improve the flow.
"She drinks her RED wine dry not sweet"
