I didn't bowdlerise the title, FAWM did. It's Fuck All. FUCK ALL.

Last week I took my daughter on holiday, flying out on my 60th birthday. I'm really scared of flying, and in the days leading up to the holiday (more accurately the nights, around 3.30 am) it seemed improbable that our bodies wouldn't be found, mangled and roasted, half way up the Swiss Alp into which the plane had ploughed - or floating in the North Sea, whatever.

Given the finality of this, it got me thinking about what I have achieved and what our generation has given the world.
