Lyrics

I saw, I saw the signs
I knew, I knew that things were changing
Changes, changes were coming soon
Soon, soon it will be over

I felt, I felt the shift inside
I hoped, I hoped that we’d be fine
Fading, fading into the night
Night, night was taking over

I tried, I tried to hold on tight
I hoped, I hoped we’d be alright
Falling, falling in so many ways
Ways, ways that haunt my days

You have really nailed this style and I like the progression of phrases that start each line of each stanza. Wonderful execution. The last line sums up the whole nicely. Great harmonica.

Excellent take on the prompt! Loving the vocals and guitar, and I agree with @tiller2 that there's enough space to add your own details. I'm hearing this as a pre-breakup song in a relationship, but a political interpretation could be there as well.

Very good. Part of me wants to have a more specific story here, but then I find myself adding details from my own head, since the fading of a relationship is pretty universal. Would a chorus or bridge be an apt place for details? Perhaps, though as I said, may not be needed. Your vocals are always ace, and a pleasure to hear.

The words feel like embroidery creating a beautiful picture creating both innocence and hesitancy of letting go. Love the vocal delivery, strings and harmonica

Serious lyrics presented with a nice pop delivery. I like the harmonica! Good job.
