Valentines 1875

Liner Notes
Came across a lovely article on the beeb today about how victorians used to send the opposite of what we think of valentines cards today, to people they didn't like. Some were quite cruel and ended up in fist fights as reported in the newspapers at the time...
Lyrics
Those victorians knew a thing or two
Sent Insulting cards, could be a little bit cruel
We imagine they respected their peers
Not according to the gazeteers
Not every card received was seen in good light
Some lampoonery ended in fights
Between two women in a textile mill
It seems the card really fitted the bill
Please stop stalking me, a common complaint
If I catch you you won’t do it again
I’ll throw some water in your ugly face
How would that be for a form of embrace?
Stop bugging me!
