Liner Notes

(i don';t know what do you call this stuff)
I did this recording the other day, and thought "that's enough", but it wasn't really. the mic preamp was really blown out loud, so everything had that dc wooliness all over it - hard to listen to. So mixed it again through FX, and treated the mix performance as the document. I have a wacom, so next time will try with something like that - but this time it was a lot of mouse movements and clicks.

While the beat hypnotizes me, the sweetness of the cello calls to me, and my guts vibrate, as if some secret signal was delivered that my mind can't analyze. The distortion creates a distance of sorts, as if I was watching a scene bathed in subdued lighting.
Actually, I'm not just watching. I'm walking in that soundscape, and although I don't know where I'm going, I want to go there.

I do like how lovely and orchestral the cellos feel, and before you know it, it becomes this intense cacophony without you knowing how you got there, like the boiling frog. The beat is so loose but still keeps everything from going wildly out of control

That rhythm is super compelling! The mix of strings and super reverby drums and guitars is something I’ve never dreamed of, but I love it. Wow, this is amazing. Very well done!
