This is a song I started maybe two years ago and never finished. It's a goofy confessional song about living in small town Kentucky for family reasons, but not really fitting in with the local social scene. Kinda missing my old life in Phoenix, Arizona at times. It contains playing errors, which I just left in there due to time constraints of finishing this in about an hour.

I'm sidling up to 50, myself, so maybe that's part of why I enjoyed it so much -- but I think this has a great sound and is really catchy and fun! Clever and smart lyrics. I like it.

This is so fun! A country song about not wanting to be country is a delightful twist I'm not sure if I've ever really encountered before. A great performance of it too! Thanks for sharing 🙏

I love how this is a frustrated country song from a punk rocker. I think that Kentucky bluegrass is starting to seep in! Love some of the phrasing in this.

And don't sweat the errors, I had to post mine warts and all for the same reason!

@doug52 Thank you, Doug. I don’t know that I feel that way about things anymore. It was a throwback challenge. But it’s really got a couple funny lines in it.
