Really like the consistent usage of the up time chords changes. Really is the star of the song, and you do a good job of mixing it in here and there. Like the word improper here, and especially on the outro the usage of 'awkward' in the repeating line. I do like the scene of a first kiss in the rain, very.... hollywood (?).

I dig the rhythms and the internal rhymes! Also the guitar playing is both flowy and punchy. Nice!
