Liner Notes

As FAWM was getting closer, I was experimenting with sliding a C# chord into a D and an F# into a G. Then I was stuck with the problem of inventing a song to go with the chord slides. Today is the conclusion of that journey (other than possible rewrites).

For all its inventiveness, it flows seamlessly. The title hook is very powerful - love the resonance - and the final note is an unexpected but welcome flourish.

Awe! I love it! It's so sweet!... and sounds slick. Like, sucker's got a nice flow to it. It feels catchy and sing-along-able.

Love it that slide up - so whimsical which matches the feel of the song as a whole. And my favourite PaulP bass vocals to boot! You’re spoiling us my friend!

Lovely song my friend! I would say those slides worked nicely!

As for the lyrics, I know it rings true, as you are one of the more dependable people I know - always showing up, supporting us (although you’ve yet to bring me coffee) and being there for us!

And who doesn’t like that bass (except for the false earthquake alarms) 🤩
