The chords walkdown coming out of the chorus is superb. The repeat use of goodbye is good, cementing the withdrawal and for me it all comes together with the line

But you're mad that I'm not all bloody
Not begging, not willing to crawl

I would lean more toward break up song personally, but it's an interesting liner note to consider nonetheless.

The hard picking on that E string at the start of most of the guitar phrases... Damn, that's effective! It really sets the mood over and over again, and makes the higher riff pop.

A strong song, both the guitar arrangement and how your vocals fit in. I like the short instrumental turnaround you have between verse and chorus and the non-symmetric stanza in your chorus.

Love the driving beat on this and the double meanings. Like the lose/confuse/refuse lines a lot and of course the I've heard all your lies …etc.

The driving guitar really heightens the tone of the song. Great melody and vocals - I especially like the pacing in the chorus - which ups the tension even more. Wow I also really like the double meaning. Perfect ending also.

great creation. got me to whole different galaxies while listening to this.... which means for me that this song works. The lyrics are powerful, the performance is powerful. Oh yeah, this is a banger! Love that chorus with all the rhyming, and the chord progression is great, TC. As soon as it finished I pressed play again because I wanted more!

And I liked the Picardy third at the end!
