The lyrics are a collection of my unfinished ideas these last few weeks - just threw them all together to see what would happen.

A man made of office dust
stole my thumb
and used it to hitchhike
across five states

A checkbook on legs
replaced my eyebrows with caterpillars
that turned into butterflies
and flew away

And the people in the TV
are staring at me
one put his foot in my sock
while I was still wearing it
stapled my tongue to my leg
and made me beg like a dog

And Vikings are spiking heads
in the purple fingered dawn
a blue strawberry yawn
in the citrus morn

And the hoi polloi
are demanding I recite the following words:

"Don't talk hands of chalk eyes of marble the boardwalk of cardboard the outlier the town crier the crown fire the begowned liar the dyer of wool and the fool who handles the ship's wheel floating into a cloud of marshmallow sweet and mellow who is that fellow the yellow figurine the mellow margarine man the starling the stalling the falling the darling who digs in distress in the mess and in the dense alleys of fog"
