Nancy: When @dreamscuba sent me this track, I immediately felt my inner nine-year-old grooving away to it. I had read one an entry in my grandmother's diary a couple days earlier, where she wrote "Nancy is very worried about death. I assured her that is natural in someone her age." So I wrote these lyrics for my nine-year-old self, and had so much fun singing them to her. A little like a Grimm's Fairy Tale as a way to process childhood anxiety.

Nature's Fury
Intro

Verse 1
Caution signs
Police lines
Mistakes and misdemeanors

Quicksand traps
And rabid bats
Suffocating screamers

Prechorus
A thousand ways to die
There are a thousand ways to die
But tonight
We're alright
We're all good tonight

Chorus
Dance and Sing
Do anything
We're gonna Dance and Sing and Do anything
It's time
We got time
We're gonna Dance and Sing
It's time

Verse 2
Lightning strikes
Fireant bites
Nature runs the vacuum

Locked up jaws
The world knows how to crack you

There are a thousand ways to die
But tonight
We're alright
We're all good tonight

Chorus
Dance and Sing
Do anything

We got time
We're gonna Dance and Sing
It's time

Look away
Play the tape
Look away
For today

Falling cranes
Exploding brains
Some monster from the movies

Cable fails
Can you die from cooties

A thousand ways to die
There are a thousand ways to die
But tonight

We're all good tonight

What a fun rocking track - and Simon is a guitar wizard! I like the list format in the verses of all the ways to die - great delivery too with the vocals - and the chorus is the perfect antidote to all of them. Wonderful job with these lyrics - they match the track perfectly. What a fun song - really great collab!

I like the way the song develops, from the morbid death-producing possibilities to the pre-chorus and then to a happy chorus, but it's a bit like soothing yourself with a Tim Burton movie 😬😆 Great inspiration from a childhood experience! Nice guitar playing and I loved the drums on this one - it's a cool rock song!

You know when I Was a kid I was lead to believe quicksand was gonna be a bigger problem in my adult life than it really is.

This was rockin! Awesome collaboration.
