Freaky
Liner Notes
This was written with my mentor Rhys Renwick at my music course Wild at Heart Community Arts.
This was inspired by a photo I took of chords and lyrics on the whiteboard in the bandroom one day. Not wanting to plagiarise (I still don't know who wrote the song on the whiteboard), I got Rhys to write lyrics to the progression while I helped flesh out the music.
I was aiming for a "garage rock" feel, and Rhys said the song sounded like Devo.
This was recorded on my phone in the Sol Green Community Centre. This was done on the 28th of August.
Rhys Renwick - lead vocals, electric guitar
Edward Roussac - backing vocals, bass guitar

Lyrics
oh no its raining
I gotta take my dog inside
it wont stop complaining
about getting wet and tired
and low its spring time
I better put some flowers in the ground
and in the meantime
you can find me in the lost and found
they call me freaky
oh no the suns out
ill try my best not to admire your face
i know my lucks gonna run out
and the universe will put me in my place
and in the dappled sunshine
ill try not to trace the shadows in the ground
I remember the one time
the way you made your voice sound
when you called me freaky
they call me freaky
