Anime with a d'n'b gloss? It's the only way to go! There's a weird quality to the reverb on the original brass that only ever existed on 80s television music. This sounds MUCH slicker.

Weird bit of trivia: Peter Cullen ("Loved by good! Feared by evil!") not only provides Optimus Prime's voice in all the Michael Bay "Transformers" movies, he was also responsible for the vocalisations of the Predator in "Predator" (1987)...

This is definitely what the theme song to Voltron would sound like if Cartoon Network picked up an edgy reboot. Zippy, brisk beat recalling the Powerpuff Girls, with a heavy helping of nostalgia via those synthy horns.
