Sorrow's Stone
Skirmish: "THE STONE IN MY HAND" (@corinnecurcio)Liner Notes
Thank you Corinne for the theme. I went towards the direction of using a stone as a sad reminder of losing dear to me people. I appreciate that some people will find my music of a horror quality. This wasn't my intention unless you interpret horror in the way of losing dear to us people, which is our horror reality. I used Dorian mode as I find it of having sad quality. My music is open to collaborations. Please let me know if you are interested, and if so, let's discuss our project. Thank you for listens and comments.

Lyrics
This is just a lyric by AI to give you an idea of the directions you might like to explore if you are interested in collaborating with me:
(Verse 1)
In the quiet of the night, I hold it close,
A heavy weight, a memory I can't oppose.
Each grain of time slips like sand through my hand,
Every whisper of the past sweeps across this land.
(Chorus)
Sorrow's stone, you anchor my heart,
A reflection of our past, though we’re worlds apart.
In the silence, you linger, so cold and alone,
I carry your shadow, my sorrow’s stone.
(Verse 2)
Every echo in the hall, a reminder so sweet,
Of laughter and promises that time can’t defeat.
Yet with every passing day, the ache only grows,
A bittersweet reminder of the path that I chose.
(Chorus)
Sorrow's stone, you anchor my heart,
A reflection of our past, though we’re worlds apart.
In the silence, you linger, so cold and alone,
I carry your shadow, my sorrow’s stone.
(Bridge)
If I could turn back time and realign the stars,
I’d trade this weight for a moment and soften the scars.
But the memories linger, they won't set me free,
I’ll cry into the darkness, yet you’re all I can see.
(Chorus)
Sorrow's stone, you anchor my heart,
A reflection of our past, though we’re worlds apart.
In the silence, you linger, so cold and alone,
I carry your shadow, my sorrow’s stone.
Comments
I have just stood at my mother's graveside this year for the first time since 1970. This music sums up how I felt. I don't find it reminiscent of a Horror Picture at all.
