Skirmish: Good Times (@cbmagic)Liner Notes
A late entry for the "Good Times" Skirmish. This one harks back to the late 70s, early 80s when I used to perform at the Albion Fayres in East Anglia (England). They were a kind of modern medieval fair at which those who still believed in peace and love could gather to celebrate. They were growing in popularity until a bunch of buses carrying a lot of rather shady people (along with a few idealists) started invading the fayres. Their nihilistic attitudes contrasted with our peace and love ideals and they caused a lot of problems on the sites. So much so, that landlords who had willingly rented the Fayres Organisation fields to hold the events on stopped cooperating and the fayres consequently died a death.
I have always been convinced that the convoy were financed by the establishment who are always terrified of anything that smacks of people finding alternatives to capitalism.
