Liner Notes

I think this might be the first time that I managed to work on a song so continuously and so little by little, because of my day job and all that working in healthcare sometimes implies. But it was good, as my ears weren't that tired of hearing the song and small ideas came floating in during the weeks working on it.

It's (again) a somewhat creepy love song. "From your ears to your hemispheres" was the first line that settled down when I wrote the lyrics, which reminded me of hypnosis, something that I'm quite interested in and also tried myself. The strange spoken words are from an early recording from the fifties, when "stage hypnosis" got popular.

Maybe there will be a remixed version, as I still want the chorus to stand out more instrumentally, but for now I want to finish this project.

Instruments:
- Nord grand
- Moog mother 32
- SSL drums

Lyrics

You keep talking in riddles
A dance of frozen words
For you to unfold a little
Means that you bare your world

Slowly move
From your ears
To your hemispheres
So I can gently
Open you up

I'll hypnotize you
Stay inside you
Until I know you
Inside out

I'll mesmerize you
Live inside you
Cause I'm a
Parasite of love

Parasite of love

It's never enough
It's never enough
It's never enough
It's never

From your ears
To your hemispheres - great inspiration line! great percussion and bells hold this and the delightful vocal drifts over the top so well!

Oooh, nice Jil. Takes me to that hypnotic place. Got the shivers. Like the buzzy stuff at the end, too.

The repetition of the 3 notes nails the earie feel in spades! I agree with Bill on the Sting song!

Just great. It wraps around you like a noose rope. you have SOOOOOOO much talent. Great to hear something new from you. Always. The spoken word works perfectly too. Well done, my friend.

this has got to be the creepiest song since sting sang ill be watching you. i love the voice clip from the golden age of hypnosis. the music sounds like parasites creeping around in my unconscious mind.

Oh yeah, this is a little bit of a creepy love song, but it is so intriguing. I like the soundscape. It really pulls you in. Hypnosis is quite interesting isn't it?

@sbs
That piano is quite creepy and the vocals are quite hypnotic. Very Bond-like. I remember watching stage-hypnosis shows on TV sitcoms in the 60s when I was a kid. They were funny! Nice work!

I really like the tone of this song. The music was compelling. Really supported the words which were masterfully developed. You are amazing songwriter.
