I feel like Neil Diamond singing this kind of song.

Lyrics

Find the thing
The missing piece
You know the one I mean
This one makes your life complete

Find the thing
Pass the test
Find the fatal flaw
That’s the cause of all the rest

You can search the whole world over
Sweep up the depths of your mind
There’s always one more thing
One more thing to find

Find the thing
Work it out
The problem
That your mama warned you about

Find the thing
Win the prize
You will forever be
A hero in their eyes

You can search the whole world over
Sweep up the depths of your mind
There’s always one more thing
One more thing to find

It never ends
Ask your friends

Find the thing
The golden key
The answer of all answers
The one that sets you free

You can search the whole world over
Sweep up the depths of your mind
There’s always one more thing
One more thing to find

You can search the whole world over
Sweep up the depths of your mind
There’s always one more thing
One more thing to find

Okay, I haven't listened yet. I was drawn into the lyric and wanted to think about it first. This hits hard, the belief that there is THE thing that will set you free. I like how you take us down the endless road and don't give us the easy way out. Nice tune, too. The big punch line is also the tastiest hook in the song, in my view. I'll be singing "one more thing to find" in my head for a while

Fun song and take on a skirmish prompt. Very pleasant to listen to.

What a great song and that chorus! Perfect skirmishing!

This is very catchy! I love the repetition of “Find the thing” to start the line of each verse. Lots of great insights. Great delivery on this. Wonderful take on the prompt - fabulous hook!

I can't think of the words "Missing Piece" without thinking of the Shel Silverstein book.

Super catchy chorus.

Sounds more 80's alt-rock than Neil Diamond to me.

This is superb. One of your best IMHO.

Neil Diamond gets a lot of stick, but it must be acknowledged that he was a very successful songwriter with his finger on the pulse of his major period. Though a lot of his stuff is not to my taste, I have to recognise their quality.

This is really catchy and a fun listen. I can hear this in my head more electric too with an alt rock vibe.
