Liner Notes

Now we have the trilogy

Lyrics

Trying to figure out what she thought I said
Trying to figure out what I should have said
She said to me that I'll be dead
But I don't believe a second of that

I know, ooh, time machine, no
Ooh, oh, I'll see you back then
I'll see back then
I'll see you when I still knew you as a friend
I'll see you when I still thought it wouldn't end
I'll see you when I wasn't done with everything I've begun

Ooh, time machine, no
Ooh, time machine, no
I'll see back then, way back then
When I still knew you as a friend
And I still could
Oh, I still could
I still could pretend

Great concept! "I'll see you when I still knew you as a friend" is so relatable.

Wanting to go back to previous states of relationships is awfully relatable.

I think we have all felt this would be handy to hav3 at some point! But would we get it right next time, Imponderable. Good write,

Ah yes, how many points in our lives would we change if we had that time machine. I'd go back and stop my mother getting in the car that crashed and killed her (aged 36).
Is the instrument you used a harmonium? It has a real feel of the Incredible String Band's organ.
