I grew up in New York City, and -- according to family legend -- didn't see grass until I was five years old. So I'm not too well qualified to sing about farms. This is what I imagine they're like.
Lyrics
He bought a farm
it was small: just one square inch
he tried to make it work
but all he could grow
was a single blade of grass
She grew chickens in the field
milked the mud, mowed the trees
bottled the manure breeze
and sold it as a potpourrie
And the sun's in the henhouse
the moon's in the thresher
a nuclear bomb in the silo
everybody, take shelter
We shoveled clouds out of the sky
and tried to manufacture cotton
cos the sheep all took other jobs
helping insomniacs sleep
We're watering
the sidewalk
and fertilizing
the asphalt street

But i think you wouldn‘t survive one day in the woods 😀 (as I wouldn‘t survive NYC)!
Love the line „ the sheep all took other jobs helping insomniacs sleep“
