Lyrics

I am suspended in between
A potted plant and my front door
With a new secured lock
With a code that I forgot
Locked me out after three tries
Though I thought I set to five

Give it a wait and I’ll save my day
There are number suspended in air
That float between my eyes and brain
Give it a wait and I’ll see you there
At least if I’m not gonna miss my train

I am suspended in a vacuum
In which it’s me and my own thoughts
But I can’t hear myself speaking
Cause there’s no air for sound to travel
Find the start of the thread to unravel
If only I remained calm, but I’m baffled

Give it a wait and I’ll save my day
There are number suspended in air
That float between my eyes and brain
Give it a wait and I’ll see you there
At least if I’m not gonna miss my train

Suspended myself between two gasses
Dragging my feet through the molasses
And as if on cue, I think of you
And I remember all my worst mistakes
As I stop and search for my keys
It appears my door has disappeared

Give it a wait and I’ll save my day
There are number suspended in air
That float between my eyes and brain
Give it a wait and I’ll see you there
At least if I’m not gonna miss my train

Lots of great examples - from concrete to more abstract - that hang together with a wonderfully poetic chorus. Nice take on the prompt!

Most of us can understand this-forgetting a code, and there are so many great lines-suspended in a vacuum.. Great skirmishing!
