VOYAGE 14: DISEMBARKED
#piano #nostalgic #neoclassical

What can one say? Parked on the outermost edge of the outermost mangrove swamps of the outermost stretch of the Brisbane river, with the airport only a short bus hop away, Brisbane as the final destination fails to hold any reality at all and one turns to #memories of the voyage. And it would seem, whale memories too...nothing like a bit of unconscious #selfplagiarism, sigh.

The cruise ship itself remains something surreal--a lost giant fabrication looming over the mangroves in the distance, like some eroded marble/carbonate mountain range outlier converted by some insane architect into rank upon rank of one-bedroom apartments topped by a funfair...

(Would I do that cruise again? Send money now and find out.)

This is so lovely! It's very relaxing. It's fun to hear where it from. I like the gentle vibe throughout. Makes you sit back, close your eyes and enjoy a few quiet moments.

Lovely wistful piano work here. There's the proud sort of passage at about the 1:00 mark that changes the feel, and then it's quickly back. I guess that's the feeling you'd have seeing both whales and ocean liners.

Beautiful composition, Tim. It's both relaxing and makes me recall fond memories. I like this a lot and can tell that so much thought and care went into the composition.
