Pray for Us

Liner Notes
There are several lyricists that I keep an eye on in the interest of making a (hopefully) good song. Elizabeth Petty is always on my list and this post is the result of another find from the creative mind of Liz.
Liz says: I’m also so grateful when Paul picks up one of my lyrics - his musical sensibility and warm vocals bring these words to life beautifully.
Lyrics
Families living with poverty
Children with no next meal
Bruised and broken souls
Those who cannot heal
Innocent victims of war
People who have been raped
Children who know abuse
Recipients of hate
They might say pray - pray for us
Pray if you want, if you must
They might say pray - for us
Pray to your god up above
Families living with poverty
Children with no next meal
Bruised and broken souls
Those who cannot heal
Innocent victims of war
People who have been raped
Children who know abuse
Recipients of hate
They might say pray - pray for us
Pray if you want, if you must
They might say pray - for us
Pray to your god up above
Liz doesn't flinch from telling it like it is and Paul brings commendable empathy and gravitas to underscore the message...
