I think this is probably one of the best jazz songs I'll hear all summer on 5090. My own sax playing style leans back more to Jazz Giants 56, but that trumpet tone of yours reminds me of Chuck Mangione. This is great stuff. Classic!

Morphs from initial notes in a smoky dive bar into a blend of Steely Dan and Sheryl Crow's Tuesday Night Music Club. In other words, this is just about as good as it gets. That mournful sax is outstanding.

The bass line really brings energy to this piece, good backing for the trumpet and sax.

I love this! Definitely something I could imagine hearing walking down Bourbon Street ;) Very catchy! I love the groove and textures. The richness of the sound of the trumpet & saxophone is amazing. Really beautiful work!
