Lyrics

Now really
Can we turn the pressure down by half
I mean really
I want to cry but I have to laugh
I hope I don’t
Have a hair out of place
Feel like a deuce
But have to talk like an ace
I mean really
Millionaire mom

Now really
It’s so hard to step out on the street
I mean really
The last person who I would want to meet
It’s better if she doesn’t
See me at all
I want to sneak around
But I have got to stand tall
I mean really
Millionaire mom

Standards are high
When you’ve got a millionaire mom
How’re you ever going to fly
How’re you ever going to get it on

Now really
This time can I sneak out through the kitchen
I mean really
Nobody let on that I went missing
Sometimes I just
Want to go out on the town
But you know I couldn’t
Let that woman down
I mean really
Millionaire mom
I mean really
Millionaire mom

Nice write!! I really enjoyed the pouty vibe, and you know, that situation really isn't fair!! 😆

Great take on the skirmish. Like the song and how you created the video. Well done on Millionaire mom.

Clever twist on the prompt. Love that it's a millionaire *mom*, and not the usual daddy's-rich-and-won't-respect-me theme. Kudos for just sitting down and making an improvised video. 👍🏼

This has a really wonderful sense of vulnerability and honesty with great use of Vegas images taken a totally different direction that one would expect. Conveys a sense of not feeling one is living up to the expectations that we think someone may have for us.. wonderful melancholy feel…. Lovely write. Powerful and poignant chorus.

I like the ideas behind the writing for this one. Good stuff.
