Another Day

I'm a community mental health therapist. Every day, I see how Trump's policies and constant uncertainty affect people's lives. This song is my blunt reflection on that struggle. Hoping to make a sort of anthem song for the unseen.
Lyrics
It's got to be a little soldier in my head,
there's not a moment to be squandered.
It's been said:
We've got the mail and it's OK.
We've got the mail and we live for another day.
We've got the mail and it's OK—
we're gonna fight for another day.
**Chorus:**
Don't do it—
you'll break your back
to be someone else's peasant.
Don't do it—
you'll break your back
to be someone else's present.
(Repeat 3×)
It's got to be a little soldier in my head,
there's not a potion to be solving it,
when we're in the red.
You've got the bail and it's OK,
you've hit the rails, yet you'll live for another day.
You've got the bail, it's OK—
you're gonna fight for another 'nother day.
**Chorus:**
Don't do it—
you'll break your back
to be someone else's peasant.
Don't do it—
you'll break your back
to be someone else's present.
(Repeat 3×)
