The Betrayed Minstrel lyric by Yves Heinzman

Challenge: PUBLIC DOMAINLiner Notes
A haunting folk ballad woven with melancholic storytelling, this acoustic song by Yves Heinzman delves into the weight of family legend and lost love. Through evocative lyrics, the song narrates the tale of a middle son whose wife leaves him for a younger pub player, setting off a series of events that forever alter the course of his family's history. The acoustic instrumentation and heartfelt vocal delivery bring out the raw emotions of betrayal, regret, and the echoes of the past, making this a poignant and timeless folk tale set to music. I first heard this as a rock song in a pub while in Europe. Now I'm changing it to a Ballad. Now this song has no name. So I named it. I found the lyric in the public domain an it reference Yves's name. I couldn't find specific information about this song or the artist in publicly available sources. But here you go. I played the Piano, the strings are synth, the flute a friend of my played, and I played the rest of the instuments and did the voice.
Lyrics
[Verse]
In one of those musical tales
A middle son has a beautiful wife
Who falls for a neighboring bloke
And leaves him for a younger pub player
Per our family legend
Our house traded hands eight times
For deeds done by the son
Lending a curious credence to the song
'cause the boy
Could play his mandolin.
