Lyrics

I found a postcard, from the distant past
Don’t know who sent it, all I have is a name
They sounded happy, everything went well
Not like the year before, a holiday hell

The hotel was rated three stars
That’s what they claimed
It had a pool and a choice of bars
Everything self-contained

The weather had been decent,
It never rained at all
The photo wasn’t recent
I bet it hasn’t changed at all

A list of outings taken
A list of food consumed
And wishes sent with kisses
Hoping to see you soon

From a long time ago
A long time ago

I'm sure there's an interesting story behind this one! 😉

I love the lyrics, the vocal, and you've got the arrangment perfectly mixed and balanced. Excellent work! ❤️

Nice wistful theme and some great lines "wishes sent with kisses".. The only thing that threw me off is in first verse ("don't know who sent it; all i have is a name").. kind of detaches you the singer (and listeners) when it could be a postcard you found in the bottom of a box in a closet etc - from someone in your forgotten past, revealing something about you as well. This is ust a quick thought! The song itself is like a postcard or faded snapshot as is. and that can be fine :)
