Lyrics

I drive a Triumph Stag and take my coffee black
The way I move, like a heart attack
Everybody looks just as soon as I show
The tabloids always claim that they’re in the know
But they don’t know me like you do
I wouldn’t even want them to

Coming from a place of anger
Nothing ever gets resolved
All that energy wasted
And only one emotion involved
I keep myself to myself as far as I can
But people always ask for my view
I always seem to meet my number one fan
Who tells me their affection is true

I travel round the world to entertain troops
From guest appearances to fashion shoots
Word travels faster than presidential scandals
It’s not what you’ve done but how it’s been handled
But they don’t know me like you do
I wouldn’t even want them to

No one knows the real person I am
An unassuming man from Amsterdam

Love that ringing guitar! Electric twelve string?
The lyrics certainly piqued my curiosity. I am left puzzled as to whether this is about a real person or just a fictional one used to make a point.
