Liner Notes

#rock #synthesizerv #solaria #kasaneteto

Using Synthesizer V Solaria for the melody and Kasane Teto for the harmony. Teto has a husky voice and I think she pairs well with Solaria.

I've violated one of my cardinal rules about long intros. It takes 45 seconds before the vocals kick in.

Lyrics

If you got some kind of need, baby
Just whisper it in my ear, baby
I promise you I can get anything you want
The dining room is open and I'm your restaurant

You don't even need to touch it, baby
All you need to do is think it up in your head
I can sell it to some lonely kid out there
They'll gladly hand you all their cash if you
convince them that you care

All the world's a market, open 24/7
and there's nothing that isn't for sale
Everything has a price and if you're willing to pay
You can sell your soul for a stay in hell

Ask yourself, how much do you want?
And then tell me, how much you need?
Make your choice, you have your voice
Something tells me you're all in with the boys

Some people want a fancy sports car
Some people want a huge house with twenty rooms
I'm more afraid of people who want power
There's no limit to how much they can consume

All the world's a market, open 24/7
and there's nothing that isn't for sale
Everything has a price and if you're willing to pay
You can sell your soul for a stay in hell

Ask yourself, how much do you want?
And then tell me, how much you need?
Make your choice, you have your voice
Something tells me you're all in with the boys

All the world's a market, open 24/7
and there's nothing that isn't for sale
Everything has a price and if you're willing to pay
You can sell your soul for a stay in hell

Ask yourself, how much do you want?
And then tell me, how much you need?
Make your choice, you have your voice
Something tells me you're all in with the boys

It is a long intro, but it grooves along and sets a strong foundation that makes it more exciting when the vocals come in. Great work on the synth vocals - I'm always impressed when vocals are "programmed" so effectively. They sound great - it's a really strong melody on the pre-chorus/chorus. Super pop-tastic stuff. I wonder if a little synth melody on the intro/guitar riff part could change it up? Maybe it would lose the impact of the singing. Just an idea. Either way - great song - cool solo. But that chorus - sounds f'ing great! I could hear this on the radio and get down to it. This is really good!
